EthereaL Hope is where I blog about my life. Feedbacks are welcomed.
Currently, my house has no Streamyx connection so I had to depend on DiGi Internet to keep me connected to the internet and do things. Or should I say, there WAS a Streamyx connection here once but due to the epic SLOWNESS of it, my father decided to unsubscribe to it and register us mobile broadband instead. It actually made me think why the hell was the previous wired internet connection too slow in our home. Come to think of it, our house is situated no more than 3kilometers from the city center. But the speed is horribly slow.

The image above is a screenshot of my current mobile internet usage status. Due to the ridiculous amount of anime episodes I downloaded in the past few days, I didn’t realize I hit the usage limit. However, this plan that I signed up allows the users to continue use the internet without extra charges. But the downside is that the speed will be reduced to a mere 128kbps. For a crazy downloader like me, 128kbps is just too slow compared to the normal 3mbps. Loading the Facebook page would take me more than 1minute.

A current update would state that I have gained weight in the past weeks. Well, that is quite true since I dont do a lot of outdoor activity like anyone else. What am I doing now then? Filling up free time with sleep and eat? Or working? Okay, let me clarify on that particular question people had been asking me. I am currently not working and I’m spending my full time at home. Clear enough? Good. Plus, I have to stay at home considering the fact that my parents are away for two weeks. So someone had to take care of the house (me ofc).

Still, my days aren’t as boring as I thought it would be. Some weeks ago, when I was stuck in a very slow internet situation, I started scouring my external hard disk for things to do. Luckily, I found this Ouran High School Host Club anime series that Diniy pass on to me last year in school. Its funny to see how an unaware innocent school girl had to work for a host club in order to pay for the very expensive vase she had broken. The series was fun. It left me laughing and smiling most of the time. The ending was nice. The 2 souls eventually had feelings for each other. :)

Actually, I’ve watched anime since 2007. Started with Bleach (from episode 1) up until the current episode and some other animes which my weak mind couldn’t recall the titles. After haven’t watched them for a long time, last year my interest in anime was revived after I watched Fate/Stay Night. Yeah, I know SOME people would say that the anime was aired long time ago and I am too late to know about it. So what? I don’t even know that these downloadable series had some kind of expiry date on it. Or should I say, there is none.

Recently, I finished watching Shakugan no Shana. It was a very good anime – to my standards, at least. The plot are enough to make viewers feel like they are inside the story itself and keep wanting for more. I found myself very addicted to this one and downloaded all soundtracks available for the series. Looks like there isn’t a single byte of waste to the 15GB I’ve reserved for this anime. It is totally worth it. Plus, I look forward to the upcoming third season of the anime. (OMG am I falling in love with an anime character now?!)

Another anime that I just done watching is Sora no Otoshimono. Its a funny story depicting on the life of a perverted guy who lives with his pet Angelroid. The ending was fine but sadly, its only 13 episodes. According to the makers of this anime, the 14th episode was too dangerous to be aired on TV and will be included in the DVD instead. Can’t wait to get the downloadable version of it. Other than that, currently I am downloading Tears To Tiara series. I once saw the trailer in Animax, but never got a chance to watch it. I can’t wait to watch it.

2 days ago, I bought this new mouse. My previous mouse was already badly unusable (especially the right-click button – I really need that in gaming =_=) so I had to spend some money on buying a new one. After looking around with my I-don’t-mind-what-brand-the-mouse-is-as-long-as-I-have-a-mouse trait, I finally picked the Razer Krait.

Why Razer and not the ordinary conventional mouse? – you might ask. Simple. I game a lot. So I need something that can (probably) last at least for long periods of usage. Hopely this new thing won’t disappoint me. Let me be the first to review Razer products among my friends. Let’s DotA! XD

Some days ago, I was on a vacation in Langkawi. The 3 days escape from my life is great and filled with sleep. Yes, sleep. I love sleeping. Well, not really. I don’t sleep much during vacations. I’d rather be walking on the seaside and taking random photographs. Ah yes – shooting randomly is one of my interests too. Apparently, I don’t have a camera, which is sad for me, but I think my phone’s camera will suffice for now. After all, blogging doesn’t require the images to be 10mp+ large, does it? :)

Langkawi is a nice place. The island is located just outside of Kedah, a state in our country, Malaysia. Langkawi is coined from the Malay words Lang and Kawi. Lang is a brown eagle and Kawi is a local manganese stone. The ancient fishermen must have seen eagles flying clutching the manganese stones! A giant monument of a brown eagle clutching the manganese stone greets all visitors to Langkawi near the Kuah Jetty. The main tourist attractions of Langkawi Island is its virgin white sandy beaches. The beaches have very gentle continental slope and the water is crystal clear. Obviously, there are only 2 ways to get there – by air or sea.

My transport to the island is a ferry. It departed from Penang’s Swettenham Pier and arrived on the island about 3 hours later. Luckily, I am not one of those having motion sickness – which made me enjoyed the ride. Upon arrival, my first impression of Langkawi was that the island itself is like Bali in Indonesia. Full (yes, full) with tourists. Rental cars and bikes are everywhere and its not so expensive to rent them. Affordable fee makes it the most used transport on the awesome island. There are attractions there – which I haven’t finished doing all of them. Sigh. Cheap chocolates are begging for those with deep pockets to take them as a souvenir.

One of my favorite and recommended to all my friends to visit is the cable car. The cable car system is the latest tourist attraction for Langkawi and is located at the Oriental Village, a theme shopping centre housed in 30’s individually designed buildings showcasing Malaysian and Oriental architecture. The attraction located on the southwestern coast of the main island of Langkawi, is just a 30 minutes drive from Kuah town and 15 minutes drive from Langkawi International Airport. The peak of the hill (where the cable car stops and you can have a walk) can be viewed from almost anywhere from the island. It is practically one of the highest place there that you can walk on.

Another tourist attraction is the Underwater World. They kept many marine life there such as penguins, sharks, etc. But the one that I enjoyed apart from the 710m cable car experience is the Langkawi Wildlife Park or simply called as Langkawi Birdpark. Here, its like a mini zoo where the animals are moving freely. Well, not all animals. Only birds, flamingos, ducks, peacocks are free to move around. Crocodiles and snakes have to be confined of course. Or else, they’ll get sick for eating us. Looks like the animals are much more important than us humans. Lol.
Overall, it has been a very pleasure having my vacation in Langkawi and I really look forward to visit it again someday. More of my pics can be viewed here.
